Deformation Characteristics of Bolted Rock Joints under Compression-Shear Load

Joints exist widely in tunnel engineering. Studying the deformation characteristics of bolted joint is beneficial for preventing rock mass disasters. To reveal joints, elastic solutions radial joints under compression-shear load were derived, which based on Lame solution mechanics and displacement coordination condition interface between bolt (assuming that at equal). Then, distance from any point side to center was denoted as r. The minimum urmin calculated. Numerical simulation verified correctness by calculating influence range distance. In addition, variation law value (ur) analyzed discussed changing modulus block (Er), radius (R), (Eb) bolt. results indicate following: (1) will decrease r decreases; approximately an ellipse, whereas long axis ellipse equal (2) roughly six times (6R). (3) shows exponential relationship with a nonlinear negative correlation increase rock, modulus, make smaller.
